Sydney-based Calliden isn’t worried by a saturated market and has identified a number of areas that it will look at to tap into further growth, including professional risks, construction and commercial & community packages.

CEO Nick Kirk says these affinity areas are “where we can add further depth of focus and understanding, aligned with our partner intermediaries’ offerings”.

Calliden has also announced the appointment of Peter Bailey as Underwriting Director. He has spent the past nine years at QBE in senior underwriting, risk management and reinsurance management roles.
