Building group extends insurance repair contract with Suncorp
Johns Lyng Group has extended a contract with Suncorp under which it provides domestic building insurance repairs across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA, the ACT and the NT.
The three-year extension, effective from the start of last month, has an option for a further year.
Johns Lyng CEO Scott Didier says Suncorp is a key partner and the renewed agreement reflected Johns Lyng’s consistent, market-leading services.
“We’re pleased to be able to continue offering Suncorp a truly national service that meets the needs of their customers, wherever they are, particularly with unpredictable weather events predicted to increase,” he said.
Johns Lyng employs more than 1400 and serves major insurance companies, governments, owners’ corporations and retail customers, rebuilding and restoring properties and contents after damage by insured events, including impact, weather and fire.
In the year to June 30, the business clocked up new contract wins and renewals with Chubb, RACQ, Honey Insurance and Westpac General Insurance which it expects will provide a steady stream of work into the future.
The current La Nina weather pattern had led to heavy rain and driving winds, and record inbound calls for repairs.
Johns Lyng expects 29% earnings growth this year.
