Brooklyn names new boss
Brooklyn’s Partnerships Manager Tim Fairbrother has been appointed to the top role at the XL Catlin-owned underwriting agency.
“Tim has spend the past five years overseeing Brooklyn’s broker relationship management, product distribution, brand management, marketing and communications,” XL Catlin CEO Asia-Pacific Craig Langham said.
The parent group says Mr Fairbrother’s appointment as Head of Brooklyn represents continuity and commitment to the broker community.
He takes over from David Porteous, who resigned last month after six years with Brooklyn, including four as director.
Before starting a career in insurance Mr Fairbrother played professional rugby union for 12 years in various countries. He also worked as director of rugby at Manly Rugby Union Football Club.
In his new role he will report to XL Catlin Country Manager Robin Johnson.
