Broker group Aviso recruits leadership
Broking company Aviso Group has named former Allianz executive Craig Robson as CEO and industry veteran John Clayton as Executive Chairman.
Aviso was formed last year by seven broker partners and private equity business Envest, to create a nationwide business.
Mr Robson, who starts on March 19, was Allianz national manager of state operations.
Mr Clayton has 40 years’ experience in the industry and was most recently chairman and Pacific head of Marsh.
“Aviso is an entrepreneurial and national alternative to traditional broking groups and it is well positioned for further growth,” Envest partner Greg Mullins said.
The group has 17 offices, 144 employees, 13 principals and $155 million gross written premium.
“Aviso Group has formed a unified national partnership, each of which are well established in their local regions with a loyal customer base and dedicated staff,” Mr Clayton said.
“By bringing in senior talent such as Craig and myself, Aviso Group’s aim is to provide these established businesses with a greater array of benefits to their customers and new, innovative products brokers can use to address their clients’ needs.”
Aviso comprises Aviso WA, formerly IC Frith WA; Fitzpatrick & Co (Victoria); Eagle Insurance Brokers (NSW); Acumen Insurance Brokers (NSW); MacMurray Insurance Brokers (Tasmania); Allsafe Insurance Brokers (Queensland); and Insurance Aid General Brokers (Queensland).
