Suncorp has appointed Brian Fulmer as a non-executive director to the AMP General Insurance Distribution (AMP GID) board.

Mr Fulmer was MD of AMP’s general insurance business before Suncorp acquired it this year. He then became Executive Adviser, working alongside the new MD of AMP GID, Gerard McDermott.

Mr McDermott says Mr Fulmer has been integral to the successful integration of the business into Suncorp, and he is now retiring from full-time work.

“He is able to provide the board with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the distribution channel.”

A new name and brand for AMP GID will be announced at its first conference for authorised representatives on August 21 in Melbourne.
