Board appointments smooth Austbrokers’ succession
Austbrokers has appointed Robin Low and David Clarke as directors.
It says the appointments will facilitate an orderly succession plan for the board and fill a gap left by veteran director Phil Shirriff, who did not stand for re-election at November’s annual general meeting.
Ms Low is a former partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has also worked with major Australian and UK organisations in financial services, with a focus on risk management, internal control and internal audit.
Mr Clarke was CEO of Investec Bank Australia from 2009 to last year. Before that he was CEO of failed Allco Finance Group and an AMP director.
He has held senior roles at Westpac and served as CEO of MLC – when it was owned by Lend Lease – and Lloyds Merchant Bank in London.
