FTA Insurance has launched standalone public and products liability insurance and hired two underwriting experts from Berkley Insurance Australia.

Melbourne-based Daniel Malic has been appointed national general liability manager after spending more than 12 years at Berkley as senior liability underwriter.

Janelle Ferraro has been appointed general liability underwriter, a role she held at Berkley in Melbourne, where she worked almost four years.

The new PPL cover has limits of up to $20 million and broad coverage on all approved industries including labour hire, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, real estate, farming and services to agriculture, and transport.

FTA says brokers and their clients can expect a fast turnaround on quotes, superior service and guidance, and “a product designed to provide peace of mind in an ever-changing risk environment”.

The Sydney-based underwriting agency, founded in 2017, specialises in professional indemnity, combined professional indemnity and general liability, IT liability, cyber, design and construct, management liability and associations liability.
