Austcover CEO John Berge is to leave the brokerage once Steadfast acquires 49% of it.

Steadfast’s move for Austcover – owned by Brisbane broker David Ingram and others – is subject to the success of its public listing in August.

As reported by insuranceNEWS.com.au in a Breaking News bulletin last week, Steadfast has also bought underwriting agency Altiora Insurance Solutions from Mr Ingram, again subject to the float.

Altiora GM Eric Richardson will transfer to Steadfast, Mr Ingram told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Mr Ingram will continue as MD of Austcover and says Mr Berge will retain his shareholding in the brokerage.
