Bart takes on Asia-Pacific role, boosts Broadspire
Global loss adjuster Crawford & Company has appointed long-time CEO for Australia Andrew Bart to the new role of Asia-Pacific CEO.
Mr Bart has been Australia chief since 2004, and last year he also took on the Pacific brief.
The Asia-Pacific CEO role supersedes these positions.
Mr Bart told insuranceNEWS.com.au he will remain “heavily involved” with the Australian business.
Singapore-based Chris Panes will continue as CEO Asia, Dean Garrod continues as CEO New Zealand and Tim Jarman remains COO for Australia.
Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific CEO Ian Muress says the new Asia-Pacific unit will provide a strong foundation for growth.
“Andrew is the perfect candidate to further our expansion in the very important Asia-Pacific region,” he said.
“He brings a great depth of knowledge and experience in creating and delivering strategies for developing business.”
Mr Bart believes there are “huge opportunities” for the adjusting sector in Asia-Pacific.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Chris Panes and the Asian management team to increase our activity in this part of the world and develop new opportunities across both our client base and product lines,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Crawford & Company has also announced the appointment of Stuart Greaves as National Manager of its third-party administration business Broadspire Australia, effective November 1.
It acquired fellow US company Broadspire in 2006 and started operating in Australia in 2011.
Broadspire Australia manages accounts for insurer and corporate clients dealing with a range of claims including motor, property, liability, marine and travel.
Brisbane-based Mr Greaves is currently Regional Director Australia for Triton Global. He is a former property claims manager with Proclaim Management Solutions and Catlin.
He will establish a Brisbane operation for Broadspire, which at present has offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
