Ausure has acquired a 50% stake in Wollongong-based Abico Insurance Brokers, increasing its presence in rural NSW.

“Abico enhances Ausure’s network and is in line with its strategy of partnering with like-minded insurance professionals,” broker Ausure says.

“It also complements our partnership with Ruralco Holdings by providing Ausure with a footprint in southern NSW to provide products and services to Ruralco clients in that region.”

Abico MD David North will continue to lead the business.

Meanwhile, Ausure has appointed Michael Cullinan as GM Sales, overseeing the rollout of insurance products throughout the Ruralco group of companies.

He was most recently Ruralco GM from 2007, according to his LinkedIn profile.
