AUB takes control of AIMS with new name, new CEO
AUB Group will take a 100% stake in a restructured AIMS, following the decision by IBNA to leave the joint venture for Steadfast.
As reported in a Breaking News bulletin this morning, the previously named Austbrokers and IBNA Member Services will be rebranded as Austbrokers Insurance Member Services.
GM Glenn Schultz will leave AIMS after four years in the role, with Angie Zissis taking over as AIMS CEO.
Mr Zissis, who heads up AUB’s Sura underwriting agency business, will also become Group Head of Underwriting and Placement, with continued responsibility for Sura.
insuranceNEWS.com.au understands Mr Schultz will take up a new broker services role at Steadfast later this year.
The group says in a statement issued this morning that the redesign expands its scope “to deliver all services required by AUB Group’s broking and underwriting agency partners including product sourcing and capacity placement, partner support services, technology and claims servicing”.
“The decision is aligned to AUB Group’s strategy and growth ambitions to drive increased control, accountability and ownership of key capabilities through the consolidation and expansion of services across the network.”
AUB CEO and MD Mike Emmett says delivering market-leading broker services to the group’s partners “is a key component of the group’s value proposition”.
“These changes will allow our partners to better leverage our scale, footprint, expertise and specialty areas.”
