AUB Group has appointed Mark Shanahan as CFO after its previous pick, Susan Mitchell, withdrew.

Mr Shanahan will this week take over from Jodie Blackledge, who leaves next month after a handover period.

He joins from Australian Ethical Investment, where he was CFO and COO.

Mr Shanahan has previously worked for Macquarie Group as CFO banking and financial services.

Ms Mitchell, who was CFO with Mortgage Choice, pulled out from the AUB appointment after the mortgage broker promoted her to CEO.
