Associated picks pleasurecraft manager
Former Club Marine CEO Paul Wilson has been appointed Associated Marine’s National Manager Pleasurecraft Insurance.
Mr Wilson left Club Marine in controversial circumstances in 2005 and became CEO of Nautilus Marine. He resigned from Nautilus as its National Underwriting Manager last year, and has been working as a consultant at Associated Marine for the past few months.
The appointment may signal a move by Zurich-owned Associated Marine into the mainstream pleasurecraft market. The company intended to concentrate on top-line boats when it formed its pleasurecraft division about three years ago.
Associated Marine MD Stephen Ford says Mr Wilson has a long family history in pleasurecraft insurance. “Paul’s reputation and experience will greatly boost Associated Marine’s offering.”
