Associated Marine unveils new management team
Associated Marine has reshuffled its leadership ranks following the defection by several executives to a new competitor and the retirement of two long-serving stalwarts.
Among the key changes is the promotion of former NSW State Manager Adam Squire to the new role of COO, while former Victorian State Manager Tim Air has been appointed Head of Distribution.
Jason Mathews takes on the role of National Corporate Development Manager, while Shelagh Bock is the new Underwriting Operations Manager.
Mr Mathews was previously WA State Manager while Ms Bock steps up from her previous role as National Product Manager.
MD Stephen Ford says the internal appointments recognise the depth of talent among Associated Marine’s ranks.
“The new team brings energy and vibrancy to meet the challenges ahead, while preserving the best traditions and spirit of Associated Marine,” he said.
“Our new management team will focus on our plans to extend our clear leadership position in marine insurance in Australia and to continue our growth in NZ.”
Key Relationships Manager Bob Beresford and National Manager Branch Operations Rod Donaldson will retire at the end of this month. Both have served more than 40 years with the insurer and its predecessor companies.
