Elantis Premium Funding CEO Jurgen Rammesmayer has been appointed COO of Arthur J Gallagher’s Australian broking business.

Elantis – the Lumley Finance business acquired by Gallagher last year – has started a recruitment process to appoint his successor.

In the interim, Elantis Head of Distribution Nick Cunningham will be Acting CEO.

Sarah Lyons, the current COO for Gallagher’s Australian broking business, will become MD Commercial Broking, retaining responsibility for the commercial branch network.

Gallagher Australia CEO Andrew Godden says the appointments will strengthen the leadership as the business “continues to build on its strategy to grow organically and through acquisition”.

Mr Godden describes Mr Rammesmayer – a former head of SME banking at HSBC – as a “high-calibre leader” who will “help us drive growth further”.

The Gallagher appointments are effective from January 1.
