Architects’ insurer takes new name
Planned Professional Risk Services, which is owned by the Australian Institute of Architects, has changed its name to Planned Cover as it expands into new markets and products.
Institute President Paul Berkemeier announced the change at the National Architecture Awards at Sydney Opera House last week.
Planned Cover CEO Sandra Purser says the company is expanding to cover other professions. Its risk management model can be adapted and tailored to their requirements.
“We wanted one brand to be recognised and used across all the associations,” she told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
The company places cover for the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the Planning Institute of Australia and Consult Australia, as well as for architects. Apart from professional indemnity and commercial covers, Planned Cover has begun to offer life insurance.
