Apia the most recommended insurer
Personal lines insurer Apia has been identified as the most recommended insurance company in Australia by an international customer loyalty measure.
The Suncorp brand, which was formerly known as the Australian Pensioners Insurance Agency, scored +69 in the 2009 Net Promoter Score, which asks people how likely it is that they would recommend the company to other people. Apia says the average score of its competitors was +2.
Only seven out of 31 organisations in the study achieved positive scores. Of this, Apia and Bendigo Bank were the only companies to achieve world-class results, with Apia scoring the top result.
