Aon to advise school administrators on risk
Aon Australia has signed a five-year agreement with the Association of School Business Administrators (ASBA) to raise the profile of risk management in the education sector.
Aon Risk Solutions Client Director Kevin O’Reilly says education sector risks can be complex and involve aspects such as student safety, cyber risk and property damage.
“Having a well-structured risk management framework is critical for a school’s viability and has become an increased priority for school boards,” he said.
Aon has a specialist education practice group, and has been providing cover to the sector in Australia since the 1970s.
Mr O’Reilly says the partnership will involve working with the ASBA to develop insurance and risk strategies, member resources and educational programs, including webinars.
ASBA Chairman Kathy Dickson says the association’s role will be to “encourage school business administrators to promote excellence in education through excellent business practice”.
