Aon sells Cambridge stake

Singapore-based Scandent Group has bought a majority stake in former Aon-owned claims administration business Cambridge Integrated Services Group. The Melbourne-based business acts as a Workcover agent in competition with insurers in Victoria.

Cambridge CEO Paul Serong says the company’s primary commitment remains providing customer service and support which will not be affected during the transition period.

“This is an exciting step for our Australian operation,” he said. “It comes at the right time for an expansion into the NSW market.”

Aon will retain a minority financial interest in Cambridge. Scandent says the purchase gives it greater potential for claims processing in the US, UK, Australia and other international markets.

Audrey Lee will be the new GM for NSW.
