Aon Pacific does its own thing
Global broker Aon Group has separated its Asian Pacific business from its European, Middle East and African operations in a bid to better serve clients and execute their demands.
To date Aon Holdings, which is based in the Netherlands, has been the regional headquarters for offices in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region.
Aon Pacific is now a separate unit that reports directly to the company’s headquarters in Chicago.
Aon Pacific CEO Bernie Fung has been appointed to the group’s policy committee as a result of the move, and Aon Holdings Vice Chairman Roelof Hendriks has been appointed CEO of Aon Europe, Middle East and Asia.
“Due to the impressive economic expansion and the size of the population, the markets of India and China offer so much opportunity,” Mr Hendriks said. “With the creation of both units we reinforce our position of a strong business partner to our clients and drive organic growth.”
Aon Holdings Chairman and CEO Dick Verbeek has been appointed Vice Chairman of Aon Group. His responsibilities will include new business strategies based on the company’s “cornerstones of distinctive client value, unmatched talent and operational excellence”.
