Aon Risk Solutions Australia has appointed Giselle Walther as MD Growth Strategies.

Australian Ms Walther was previously with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty as head of corporate market management for North America, based in New York.

She has also held leadership roles with Zurich and has worked in the Americas, Europe and Australia.

Aon Risk Solutions Australia CEO Lambros Lambrou says Ms Walther’s international experience “will prove invaluable to Aon and our clients in Australia”.

“Giselle’s appointment demonstrates Aon’s overriding commitment to investing in our business,” he said. “We are extremely fortunate to welcome Giselle home to Australia in this role.”

Ms Walther will be responsible for implementing Aon Risk Solutions Australia’s “intensifying growth agenda” and will help with the oversight of sales, marketing and innovation.

She starts the job on January 1, based in Sydney.
