Church and heritage insurer Ansvar has introduced a broader range of risk management services to complement its insurance offering.

“We understand that helping keep organisations and people safe isn’t only about providing insurance cover and compensation,” CEO Warren Hutcheon said.

“It’s also about supporting, educating and providing specific risk management tools so organisations are fully equipped to manage risks.”

The services come under the Ansvar Risk banner. They include enterprise risk management to identify, manage and prioritise issues, and risk quality surveys to facilitate decision-making. Services may involve using drones to collect data on buildings and surrounds.

Ansvar Risk also provides online tools, checklists and fact sheets.

GM Risk Solutions Diana Borgmeyer says specialty sectors have limited access to relevant risk management services.

“Risk modelling currently available is often driven out of the finance sector, and while financial risk is important, our sectors face considerable human and social risks that need to be managed and modelled differently,” she said.

Ansvar, part of UK-based Ecclesiastical, also specialises in aged, disability and childcare, education and community services.
