Ansvar CEO quits
Ansvar CEO John Peberdy will stand down from the company on July 30 after 12 years in the top job.
Mr Peberdy, who has been with the company since 1973, did not return calls from insuranceNEWS.com.au this morning.
Chairman Murray Baird told insuranceNEWS.com.au Mr Peberdy has “got to a stage where he’s decided he wants to pursue other things”.
Ansvar is owned by the UK Ecclesiastical Insurance Office and is governed by a local board.
Mr Baird says a committee has been formed to recruit Mr Peberdy’s successor, and is looking both inside and outside the company. A replacement is expected to be named by August.
Mr Peberdy has been a member of the Ansvar board since 1997 and has held various senior management roles in Ansvar Insurance since 1986. He was appointed CEO in May 1999.
