Andrew Boal takes over at Rice Warner

Rice Warner has appointed former Willis Towers Watson head of Australasia Andrew Boal to be its new CEO, effective immediately.

The life insurance and superannuation consultant’s former CEO Michael Rice has stepped down to work for a few key clients and in public policy. He will remain on the board.

“At a time of industry turmoil and rapid change, Rice Warner will be well positioned to continue to support our clients with Andrew at the helm,” he said.

Mr Boal left WTW in early January after a top-level restructure saw head of corporate risk and broking Simon Weaver take up the head of Australasia role to replicate changes made elsewhere in the group.

Mr Boal had been with WTW and one of its predecessor companies, Towers Watson, for a total of 27 years. He was appointed head of Australasia in 2016.
