Crash repairer AMA Group has appointed Domenic Romanelli, an executive with extensive industrial and resources sector experience, as its CFO. 

Mr Romanelli was most recently CFO at listed group Pro-Pac Packaging and has previously worked at companies including Gale Pacific, Orica, Smorgon Steel Group and BHP. 

AMA says he has substantial transaction experience, including on acquisitions and divestments, and experience managing finance teams and functions. 

The crash repairer announced in May that CFO Geoff Trumbull had resigned after more than two years with the group to take up the top financial role at an unlisted company in a different sector. 

Mr Romanelli will join AMA on August 26 and Mr Trumbull will remain with the group through a transition period.
