Allianz has been named among the top 20 workplaces for paternal leave entitlements.

CoreData researched entitlements on behalf of parenting website Direct Advice for Dads, analysing the top 500 Australian companies by revenue.

Allianz offers 12 weeks’ primary carer leave for new fathers, plus an optional extra two weeks’ paid parental leave or superannuation contributions during leave.

It also offers two days of family and emergency leave.

The insurer is among 10 of Australia’s largest companies that allow fathers to assume the role of primary caregiver should their partner return to work within a year of birth.
