Allianz Partners joins UN agency to help restore tourism
Allianz Partners has been welcomed into the global network of affiliate members of The World Tourism Organisation to help re-establish the travel industry in “a post-COVID context”.
The organisation is a United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of sustainable and universally accessible tourism. It brings together sector leaders to encourage knowledge sharing and strengthen public-private cooperation.
Allianz Partners, which provides travel insurance and assistance products, is one of the few insurance companies in the network, which has more than 500 members.
CEO International Health & Travel Ida Luka-Lognoné says it is a critical time for global tourism and the insurer is “deeply involved in the transformation and recovery of the travel industry” as a world leader in travel insurance.
“Sustainability is an essential issue for the future of travel,” she said.
Allianz Partners says it will participate actively with other members with the main objective of re-establishing the travel industry in a post-COVID context.
