Allianz Marine & Transit Underwriting Agency (AM&T) has promoted Ben Morgan to the role of CEO, effective next month.

Mr Morgan is based in AM&T's Brisbane office and will regularly meet and collaborate with the wider team and AM&T partners in Sydney and around Australia, Allianz says.

Mr Morgan has spent nine years at AM&T across a variety of roles in sales, underwriting and management, most recently as GM Underwriting.

He replaces Sydney-based Stephen Ford, who departs the business after a decade at the end of this month. The search for a new CEO was announced in March and Mr Ford told insuranceNEWS.com.au he is “simply taking some time out”.
