Pop Insurance Holdings has partnered with Allianz to launch mergers and acquisitions (M&A) cover through its Fusion Specialty business.

Fusion M&A, supported by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, is offering services across the Asia-Pacific region, with areas covered including warranty and indemnity, tax opinion and contingent liability.

Pop was established last year by Sydney-based David Rogers and Barcelona-based Killian McDermott, who together have 50 years’ experience in specialty and affinity insurance businesses.

Mr Rogers is a former MD of Ironshore Australia and was national manager of corporate and regional head of M&A for Berkley.

He says the partnership with Allianz gives access to an extensive network of operations across the region, and the business can provide a strong M&A offering “right out of the gate”.
