Allianz backs Latevo crop cover
Allianz is backing a multi-peril crop insurance product launched in Australia by Latevo International.
The cover will be sold for this year’s crop season on a limited basis, Latevo CEO Andrew Trotter says.
Coverage for next year’s season will be open, and farmers are being encouraged to submit production audits so they can be eligible.
Farmers can choose levels and types of cover, with pricing determined by the audits.
Typical cover is expected to cost $15 to $30 per hectare, Mr Trotter says.
Allianz declined to comment on whether its staff will be involved in sales, and insuranceNEWS.com.au was awaiting a response from Latevo on the matter at time of publication.
