Allianz awards $38 million contract
IT provider Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has signed a $38 million contract with Allianz Australia to provide the insurer with infrastructure and technology support, including more than 3000 desktop computers.
CSC, which has worked with Allianz since 1999, has seen the size of its operations in Australia double in that time, CEO Mike Shove said.
Meanwhile, UK technology company Sirius has moved into the region with the appointment of a local manager to manage its operations here. Stephen Browne, former Business Development Manager at Lumley Technology, is now Regional Manager Asia Pacific for Sirius.
He says Sirius will focus its initial efforts on the Australian general insurance market, covering wholesale and retail commercial and personal lines business. Sirius is already working with IAG NZ on what is understood to be a multi-million dollar exercise.
