AIG names new chief for NZ
AIG has appointed Toni Ferrier as New Zealand CEO, effective from January 20.
Ms Ferrier is currently a Commissioner at the New Zealand Earthquake Commission and an independent director at Accuro Health Insurance. She has also held senior roles at Vero, Lumley, Wesfarmers and Crombie Lockwood.
She will report to CEO Asia Pacific Sachin Shah, who says the appointment “reinforces the importance of the New Zealand market to AIG”.
Tony McHarg, Head of Multinational & Network Management Asia Pacific, has been Interim CEO for AIG New Zealand since May, and will continue until Ms Ferrier joins.
Former New Zealand CEO Elliot Hill left AIG earlier this year and joined QBE as a Melbourne-based GM in August.
