Affiliated FM has introduced environmental insurance cover to compliment its standard property policy.

The policy covers the additional costs incurred in repairing, replacing or rebuilding physically damaged property with environmentally friendly products.

This includes roofing systems, removal, disposal and recycling of damaged property, air flushing for healthy indoor building environments, and replacement filters for ventilation systems.  

The policy has no built-in sub-limits and extends to the potential increased time and associated business interruption that may occur when undertaking sustainable practices.

The policy was launched last week in Australia and has also been rolled out globally across the company’s European and US divisions.
