AAMI signs on for new stadium
AAMI has signed a deal to secure the naming rights over Melbourne’s new rectangular sports stadium for the next eight years.
Situated in the middle of the city’s sports precinct, the 30,000-capacity stadium – to be known as AAMI Park – will provide a base for the city’s rugby union, soccer and rugby league teams.
The stadium will open on May 7 for a rugby league test between Australia and New Zealand.
AAMI also has naming rights to Adelaide’s main Australian Football League venue, AAMI Stadium, while Brisbane’s main arena at Lang Park is badged as Suncorp Stadium.
