AAMI Roadside Assist free to COVID frontline workers

Suncorp is offering its AAMI roadside assist service free of charge to all medical practitioners, nurses, hospital staff, paramedics, firefighters, SES staff & volunteers, police officers and COVID testing & vaccination workers across Australia, irrespective of whether they are an AAMI customer.

The initiative will keep first responders and healthcare workers on the road, AAMI says.

The access to free Roadside Assist is available until the end of the year and gives eligible workers Australia-wide help with car emergencies like flat tyres and batteries, lost or locked-in keys, towing, and 24-hour unlimited roadside callouts.

Insurance Products & Portfolio CEO Lisa Harrison says the offer is a small way the insurer can help workers who are under immense pressure.

“Now, more than ever, they are critical to keeping our communities safe, tackling not only the various outbreaks, but also supporting our pathway to a more normal future through the vaccine rollout,” she said.

AAMI made the same offer last year, providing free Roadside Assist for more than 28,000 frontline workers.
