AAMI customers to say what’s up over WhatsApp

Suncorp brand AAMI is the first Australian general insurer to offer customers service over social media platform WhatsApp.

More than 8 million Australians use WhatsApp, making it the fourth most used social medium in the country. AAMI says it is proud to be leading the way with an innovative way for customers to manage their insurance.

Head of Distribution Melissa Callaghan says WhatsApp will help policyholders who live busy lives and can’t always talk on the phone, to get help on the go and save time.

Customers choosing to make contact using WhatsApp will receive the same assistance offered via other service channels, whether enquiring about a new insurance policy, asking questions about existing cover or getting help to lodge a claim, AAMI says.
