Calliden Group has collaborated with a group of Queensland brokers in a new underwriting agency.
The insurer and Queensland Broker Holdings will own an equal share in Brisbane-based Queensland Underwriting Solutions (QUS).
Calliden Group Marketing Agencies and Ventures Director Mike Hooton told insuranceNEWS.com.au the arrangement gives brokers the change to “influence, shape, craft and design future products”.
The joint venture’s initial portfolio comprises a combined residential and commercial strata policy and a business insurance package incorporating business interruption.
The agency is planning to roll out a standalone business interruption policy early next month.
