New CEO for IBNA Group
IBNA Limited has appointed Paul Sedgwick as CEO. Mr Sedgwick, who was formerly Managing Director of International Insurance Placements, will join IBNA on March 1.
IBNA Limited Chairman John Clark said Mr Sedgwick’s broking experience in the Australian and London markets will enable IBNA to further develop products, markets and services for members. “This will enhance their ability to provide wide-ranging services to their clients.”
Peter Imeson has been appointed General Manager, and will complement the appointment of the new CEO by continuing to provide technical, administrative and internal resources. Peter has made a significant contribution in expanding the range of products and services available to members and the standing of IBNA with our Business Partners.
Mr Sedgwick has spent his entire career in the insurance industry, and has been a broker since 1981. After a number of roles in Lowndes Lambert – including National Marketing Director – he was Divisional Director in the NSW executive team of Heath Lambert until April 2002.
His role in International Insurance Placements saw him dealing with a range of brokers in Australia across all lines of business, and placing business into the London, European and American markets.
Mr Clark said the changes at the top of IBNA will allow the group to provide wider services, including specialised facilities, and will enable broker members to enter new areas of the market.
Mr Sedgwick will attend the 10th National IBNA Convention in Hobart, which begins next Monday.
