McIvor quits OAMPS

Keith McIvor, the CEO of major local brokerage OAMPS, has resigned from the company.

Wesfarmers Broking CEO Steve Lockwood says Mr McIvor’s decision to resign this week after three years running OAMPS “is his own decision, and we wish him well”.

It’s understood Mr McIvor has agreed to remain at OAMPS until the end of the year.

Mr Lockwood told insuranceNEWS.com.au that Wesfarmers will “look internally and externally” for a replacement CEO.

Mr McIvor, a New Zealander, was a senior manager at leading NZ brokerage Crombie Lockwood when he was brought across to OAMPS in 2008 as Head of Operations. He became CEO in July 2009.

It’s understood he has no plans at this point to take up another industry position.

“Keith has run a very hard race in rebuilding OAMPS,” Mr Lockwood told insuranceNEWS.com.au this afternoon. “He has achieved what he set out to achieve when he moved across from New Zealand.

“He has solidified the business into a strong and focused operation, and he has unified OAMPS around a strong management team.”
