Well-known industry figure Jo Mason is set to leave Allianz after less than a year to head home to Auckland as CEO of AUB-owned NZbrokers.

Ms Mason, who previously spent 30 years with IAG New Zealand, became National Manager, Cluster Groups and Specialty Lines in Allianz’s broker and agency division on May 18 last year.

She initially worked half her time from Auckland before relocating permanently to Australia from December 1.

However, Ms Mason is now returning to New Zealand to take up the NZbrokers role from July 1.

She succeeds Jim Harris, who will maintain his position on the NZbrokers board as founding director.

AUB Group NZ MD Keith McIvor says Ms Mason’s expertise with be invaluable during a period of growth.

“Jim and I are pleased to have secured someone of Jo’s calibre, experience and leadership ability for the CEO position,” he said.
