JLT claims top spot in rehab services with acquisition
JLT Australia has agreed to acquire workplace health, safety and rehabilitation services company Recovre Group.
Recovre employs 280 people across a national network of 24 offices, delivering support to facilitate the return to work of ill or injured employees. Founded in 1987 as a division of Allianz, it has been owned by private equity company Hawkesbridge Capital since 2006.
JLT Australia CEO Leo Demer says workplace rehabilitation is “a growing and increasingly important area of focus for employees keen to return to work and clients and insurers looking to reduce the cost of absence”.
The Recovre business will be added to JLT’s Benefit Solutions division under divisional Chairman Nick Harris.
Mr Demer told insuranceNEWS.com.au the addition of Recovere to JLT’s Workstreams rehabilitation business – which operates in NSW and Victoria – gives JLT a national footprint “and makes us the largest rehabilitation provider in the country”.
