Jane Diplock appointed Chairman of New Zealand Securities Commission
Jane Diplock, ASIC’s National Director Infrastructure and Strategic Planning, has been appointed Chairman of the New Zealand Securities Commission.
Ms Diplock, who is also NSW’s Regional Commissioner for ASIC, will commence her five-year appointment in September.
ASIC Chairman David Knott said the appointment comes as “an interesting time for corporate regulation in New Zealand. This will further cement the close relationships between ASIC and its New Zealand counterpart.”
A replacement for Ms Diplock has not been named. Mr Knott said consideration is being given to succession issues, and future arrangements will be announced prior to her departure.
