Long-serving IBNA manager Peter Imeson has been appointed as CEO. He has been acting in that role since the departure of Paul Serong in November.

Mr Imeson has worked for IBNA for 11 years. Chairman Gary Gribbin said Mr Imeson has a strong understanding of IBNA’s culture and issues, and “brings to the position great technical competence”.

Promising to “get back to basics”, Mr Gribbin said the appointment “gives effect to the intention to focus [IBNA’s] activities upon those matters which we believe to be fundamental to the IBNA members. An announcement will be made in the near future in relation to the strategic direction of IBNA.
