IBNA’s Paul Sarong resigns
IBNA CEO Paul Serong resigned from the group today, less than two years after taking up the position. Mr Serong has been involved in a series of disagreements with members about the cluster group’s future structure, most recently over the formation of a joint venture with Perth-based premium funder Alliance that would have cut out other funders. A plan to stage IBNA’s next conference in Hawaii was also defeated recently – it has been moved to the Gold Coast.
Peter Imeson will be acting CEO until a replacement for Mr Sarong is found.
IBNA Chairman Gary Gribbin said IBNA will advertise for a new CEO soon. Asked why Mr Serong had resigned, he said it was “probably because he wants to explore other things”.
