Former Insurance Advisernet Australia & New Zealand MD Adrian Kitchin has been appointed MD of Suncorp-owned authorised representative network Resilium.

Mr Kitchin, who resigned from IAA suddenly last Friday, has more than 20 years’ industry experience. He had worked for Insurance Advisernet since 2006 and had been its MD since 2012.

Resilium has more than 700 authorised representatives. Suncorp Commercial Insurance CEO and Resilium Chairman Anthony Day says Mr Kitchin has “relationships with the all-important authorised representatives segment of the industry”.

“He was the outstanding candidate for this role, thanks to his extensive experience across a range of roles – MD, legal counsel, and a variety of operational leadership responsibilities – with a series of corporate and mid-range insurance brokers and underwriters.”

Former Resilium MD Gerard McDermott was appointed EGM of Suncorp’s Personal Insurance Distribution in February.
