Allianz has appointed Michelle Hay as GM Consumer, SME and Platform Solutions, while Alison Brough will move into the role of National Manager Strategy and Key Partnerships.

The two managers will report directly to Chief GM Broker and Agency David Hosking.

“Both Michelle and Alison are fantastic additions to the broker and agency leadership team and will be key in driving our customer focus and growth agenda,” Mr Hosking said.

Ms Hay has nearly 20 years’ insurance industry experience across broking, distribution and underwriting and has worked at firms including Zurich, Suncorp and JLT. She will join Allianz in January after most recently holding COO and Company Director roles at Konekt.

Ms Brough, whose appointment is effective immediately, has worked to retain and grow the broker business at Allianz after joining from Vero in May.

Allianz says it is revamping its broker and agency management team with the creation of three new roles.

It previously said that Glen Drinnan will fill the GM Broker Distribution role.
