icare names first foundation GM

Amanda Keogh has been appointed inaugural GM of the icare foundation, launched last year to help injured workers, carers and their families.

The foundation will invest $100 million over five years in programs, research and partnerships with a focus on injury prevention and care.

“Amanda brings vast experience and diversity of thinking to the icare foundation,” icare (Insurance & Care NSW) Group Executive Innovation Tim Plant said.

Ms Keogh has worked in the private and public sectors driving corporate social responsibility programs, and in 2010 she received a Banksia Foundation award for large organisations leading in sustainability.

Most recently she helped establish icare’s “Ufirst” initiative, which unites stakeholders to diagnose problems in the NSW workers’ compensation scheme and create novel solutions to help people return to full and rewarding lives.
