Ex-Ironshore chief joins Willis Towers Watson

Former Ironshore Australia CEO Katherine Simmonds will join Willis Towers Watson as GM Corporate Risk and Broking for NSW.

As previously reported by insuranceNEWS.com.au, Ms Simmonds left Ironshore in June. She will take up her new role next month, reporting to Regional Head of Australasia Andrew Boal.

Mr Boal says Ms Simmonds has “a proven track record” in achieving significant business growth and profitability.

She was with Ironshore from 2012, and previously worked for AIG and Minter Ellison Lawyers.

“As more and more clients turn to us to help them quantify, mitigate and transfer risk, Katie’s arrival will play an important part in managing their business risks while driving strong organisational performance,” Mr Boal said.
