Dual chief hits the road for fundraiser

Dual Asia-Pacific CEO Damien Coates will join a group of cyclists pedalling from Perth to Broome next month, to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute.

He and 60 other riders “will embark on a journey where we will cycle close to 2000km over eight days, battling the elements physically and mentally”, Mr Coates said.

The Black Dog Institute aims to translate research into practical outcomes that reduce the incidence of mental illness and the stigma around it.

The ride begins on September 16 and will visit towns along the WA coast, including Geraldton, Carnarvon, Monkey Mia, Coral Bay, Karratha and Port Hedland.

Mr Coates’ previous charity adventures have included running a marathon in Sierra Leone and cycling from Adelaide to Darwin.
