Dual boss raises $17,000 on charity bike trek

Dual Asia-Pacific CEO Damien Coates raised more than $17,100 for the Black Dog Institute by completing an eight-day bike ride from Perth to Broome last month.

The sum will support the institute’s research into mental illness, and is three times more than the personal target Mr Coates set.

The Steadfast Foundation is among his supporters, chipping in $1000, according to event organiser TourXOz.

Mr Coates was in a group of 65 cyclists who took part in the trek, which had raised more than $320,000 by last Friday.

Organisers are still short of their $400,000 target. To support Mr Coates, click here.
